Commonweal
Point Reyes National Seashore, CA
Commonweal is a nonprofit center for health and human ecology located
on a beautiful 60 acre site overlooking the Pacific Ocean on the
Point Reyes National Seashore near Bolinas. The retreat, gourmet
vegetarian meals, and most of the accommodations will be provided
at the historic "Pacific House." This beautiful twelve
bedroom mansion provides ample space for our retreat program and
allows for comfortable, private rooms for most of our participants.
Accommodations will also be available in single or double occupancy
rooms located in two other lovely houses on site. The relative isolation
of the retreat center is perfectly suited to our meditation and
yoga retreat. More information can be found at: www.commonweal.org.
Joshua Tree
Southern, CA
The Joshua Tree retreat center is regarded as one of the best centers
in the Western United States. Its principle structures were designed
by Lloyd Wright and built with native stone. Clear, clean air combines
with views of mountains and desert to offer a peaceful atmosphere.
Joshua Tree is a sanctuary and an amazing place of healing to reconnect
with nature and touch the stillness and wholeness of life. Our location
is 30 miles north of San Diego and 3,000 feet higher than Palm Springs,
and less than a three-hour drive from Los Angeles, Orange County
or San Diego. More information is available at: www.mentalphysicsretreat.com.
